What we collect, and what we don’t
Three forms and a visitor count here, one questionnaire elsewhere with no tracking at all.
The whole of it: what you type in. The forms on this website go to Formspree and arrive in our inbox. Google Analytics counts visits to the website and sets cookies to do it. The questionnaire Roland sends out is ours, saves as you go, and sets one sign-in cookie.

The short version
This website has three forms. What you type into one of them goes to Formspree, which holds it and emails it to us so we can read it. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not add you to a mailing list, and there is no advertising on this site. The website does count its visitors with Google Analytics, which is described below; the questionnaire does not.
There is also a longer questionnaire at start.rcagadvisory.com. It is not linked from this website. Roland sends the address to someone after they have already been in touch, and it works differently from the forms here: it is ours rather than Formspree’s, it saves your answers as you go so you can come back to them, and it sets one cookie to keep you signed in while you do. The section below marked “the questionnaire” covers it.
We do not ask for financial, banking, tax, employee or legal records anywhere. Formspree records the internet address you submitted from as part of its own spam handling, which is the one piece of technical information attached to a form on this site.
Who is responsible
Roland Conner Advisory Group LLC (P.O. Box 101, Rutherford, NJ 07070) decides what this website collects and why. Questions about anything on this page go to roland@rcagadvisory.com.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form, and only the fields that form asks for.
| Form | Fields |
|---|---|
| Contact | Name, email, business or organization, and your message. |
| Become a client | Name, email, company, phone, industry, location, whether anything has a deadline on it, and what made you get in touch. |
| Professional application | Name, email, phone, firm, discipline, website, license or credential, and your description of your practice. |
All three are short on purpose. Every field is something you type rather than something we observe. Nothing is pre-filled from anywhere else and nothing is inferred about you.
Analytics on this website
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies whose names begin with _ga, which last up to two years and let Google recognise a browser that comes back.
Google receives the address of the page you are on, the page you came from, your browser and device type, and an approximate location worked out from your internet address. Google Analytics does not keep the internet address itself. When you send one of the three forms, Analytics is told that a form was sent and which one. It is never told what you typed into it.
We use this to understand how the site is used, and for nothing else. We do not use it for advertising. You can stop it with your browser’s tracker blocking, or with Google’s own opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The questionnaire at start.rcagadvisory.com has no analytics of any kind.
The questionnaire
The questionnaire at start.rcagadvisory.com is a separate thing from this website, and it is worth reading this section properly before you start one.
It asks fifteen written questions: your name, your email, the name of the business, and then twelve about the business itself: what it does, how long it has run, what changed, why you called now, what you think is wrong, what you have already tried, who else advises you, what the money looks like, what you are contractually committed to, who works there and who decides, what a good outcome looks like, and what you are worried about. All fifteen are required. Every one is something you type.
The money question asks for the shape of the position rather than the documents. It says so on the page. Do not put statements, account numbers or login details into it.
Getting in
There is no password and no code to wait for. Roland sends you a link, and opening it is the whole of it. The link is signed, works only for the address he sent it to, and stops working after sixty days. Opening it sets one cookie on start.rcagadvisory.com that keeps you signed in for fourteen days. It is there to hold your place and does nothing else: it is not shared, it does not follow you to other sites, and there is no analytics or advertising cookie anywhere on the questionnaire. Pressing “sign out” removes it.
Because the link is what lets you in, treat it the way you would treat a password. Anyone you forward that email to can open your questionnaire and read what you have written in it.
Leaving and coming back
Your answers are saved as you type them, on our server rather than in your browser, along with which question you had reached. That is the entire point of it: you can stop, and pick it up later on a different device, by opening the same link again. It also means your part-finished answers are on our server before you press send. We do not read a questionnaire as you are writing it, but it is there, and you should know that rather than find out later.
If you start one and decide against it, write to roland@rcagadvisory.com and we will delete it.
What we deliberately do not collect
- Cookies beyond these. The website sets only the Google Analytics cookies described above. The questionnaire at start.rcagadvisory.com sets the one sign-in cookie described above and nothing else.
- Analytics on the questionnaire. Google Analytics runs on this website only. Nothing on start.rcagadvisory.com measures or tracks you.
- Passwords. There are none, so there is nothing to breach and nothing to reset. The questionnaire has no sign-up form and no account to create.
- Your internet address, in the questionnaire’s own records. We do not write it down, hash it or shorten it. Cloudflare’s network sees the address you connect from, as the network in front of any website does, and uses it to block automated abuse.
- Financial, banking, tax, employee or legal records. Nothing we run asks for them.
- Anything about you from anywhere other than what you type.
Formspree, which receives the three forms on this website, records the internet address you submitted from and the time you submitted, as part of how it blocks automated abuse. We do not use that for anything, and it is not something we can switch off.
Why we hold it
To read what you sent, decide whether RCAG is the right fit, and reply to you. That is the whole purpose. Where a legal basis is required, ours is our legitimate interest in responding to someone who has contacted us about our services, and taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement.
Where it goes
| Who | What they do | What they hold |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosts the website, and hosts and stores the questionnaire. | Nothing from the three website forms. The questionnaire’s answers, your email address and your place in it are held in a Cloudflare database we control. |
| Formspree, Inc. | Receives the three forms on this website, holds the submission, and emails it to us. | The submission, plus the internet address and time it was sent from. |
| Google LLC | Provides the mailbox at rcagadvisory.com, where form submissions and anything you email us arrive, and Google Analytics, which counts visits to this website. | Those emails, until we delete them, and the visit data described under “Analytics on this website”. |
Those are the only third parties involved. All three are in the United States, so if you are writing from outside it, that is where what you send goes. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not transfer it to anyone else except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become an engagement are deleted from Formspree twenty-four months after they are submitted. Where an inquiry becomes a client engagement, the record is kept under the retention that applies to the engagement itself, which is governed by our agreement with that client rather than by this website.
Questionnaires follow the same twenty-four months, counted from the day you send it. One that is started and never finished is deleted twelve months after you last touched it, because a half-finished account of a business is not something worth keeping for longer than that.
The email copy sits in our inbox, and we clear those on the same twenty-four month basis.
You can ask us to delete yours sooner. Write to roland@rcagadvisory.com and we will.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to our holding it. Regardless of where you live, we will do all four on request, because there is very little here and no reason to make it difficult.
Write to roland@rcagadvisory.com. We may ask you to confirm the email address the submission came from, because that is the only way we can identify the record.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about anybody.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and submissions travel encrypted. Access to them is limited to people at RCAG who need it to respond to you, and to the providers named above. The questionnaire has no password to steal, its link is signed so it cannot be altered or forged and expires on its own, and its sign-in cookie is signed the same way. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Children
This is a business advisory website. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and we will delete it.
Confidentiality is not privilege
We treat what you send as confidential business information. That is not the same as legal privilege, which exists only between you and your attorney. Do not put anything into a web form that needs privilege to protect it.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
